time and date of DM800HD issue

    Hi All Expert,

    I need your help.

I found out my DM800HD box original time was good.

When i power off the set and unplug the power then move to other location and power up again.

found out the time and date has been reset.

I have try on telnet date -s YYYY.MM.DD-hh:mm:ss

    YYYY is Year
    MM is Month
    DD is Day
    hh is Hour (0-24)
    mm is Minute
    ss is Second

When power off again from the main power then on it back the time has been reset again to 1-1-2000 8:00am.

Any idea how to make sure the time and date will not change?

    Regards

I hear people run "ntpd" in the box. "ntpd" is a software daemon/component (from the Linux world) that gets time from the Internet on a periodic basis.

Disclaimer: I'm a newbie, who is still looking to make his 1st purchase.

        thanks for reply.

        I solved the problem.

Actually i haven't plugin the cable to the DM800HD is because when i try to backup the image.

that was the time i saw the time has been reset.

Now, when i plug in with the cable on 800HD then it able to find the tune channel and time come back to normal.

        thanks for the support.
