Help with flashing dreambox 500 Newbie!

Hi Guys I need your help please,as I am a newbie but am having a go a flashing a new image to my dreambox 500.I did manage to flash images to my box with dream up without a problem,put when I do a transponder scan it wont lock to anything so what am I doing wrong?Also now when I try and flash an image it says error upload aborted,what have I done and how do I sort this out?it wont even connect through my modem on software updates when it did before,your help is appreciated as I am determined to flash this box,come on guys give me some help,cheers

The answer is all here mate all u have to do is read the stickies to solve your problem.
Here we don't spoonfeed members read 1st then try to do it on your own, always trial & error if u want to succeed.
1st help for transponder issue, did u have the correct satellite or cable xml for your area? where do you reside & what box model satellite or cable?
If you don't tell us all this how are we going to help u????????

Thanks for the replys guys Astrobox the box is a dream 500 which worked previously on cable for quite some time in the uk,I had no problems flashing images but recently when I try it keeps saying upload aborted?I appreciate your help and understand its trial and error and am determined to get it working,but as a novice I do need advice,many thanks

upload abort is your usb adapter problem
use a coms port to do flashing

Im not using a usb adapter im using serial cable and was able to flash images before but this just keeps saying upload aborted no matter what image I use?any ideas?
