DM500 TV and Dream box sound

    Hi all,

One to pick your brians , did think i see something similar to this posted before but cant find it.

Basically my TV has to have the sound up in the 70's to get it to a decent level with the DM500. It also means when i put the Ps3 on COD4 nearly deathens the whole street

Is there any where i can change this in the Cpanel

    Thanks for any info

I have tried to find a happy medium, If i have the DBox one say just below the red, the TV one has to be up nearly at full blast to get a decent level of sound.

A decent quality scart cable might improve things. I ended up using the digital optical out into my home cinema system.

Yes, this is reportedly a problem and particularly annoying when switching back to TV mode causing deafening sound levels. If you a willing to throw some money at the problem, you could put a graphic equaliser between your Dreambox and the TV and use the 'gain' control to lift the overall sound level. Works even better if you have a surround sound system and you put the graphic equaliser in-line before the sound is fed to your amp. A decent graphic equaliser for the task would be the Citronic CQ-215 or for little more money (?85) the Citronic CQ-231. Another solution would be to add a 'pre-amp' but not seen many of those at reasonable prices.
