hi all i just bought what i was told was a dreambox 500c but when opend box looks different all it has on actual box is DVB its silver made in china and have now been told it is exactly the same and takes same software as dreambox 500c, if possible could someone confirm this,also as i am new to doing this i am having a problem finding a null modem cable, back of box has an RS232 plug,when i went to local shop for null modem cable to fit the box to laptop was told new laptops can not accomodate the null modem cable?i have 1 point which looks simaler to a null modem plug in laptop with 15 holes female RS232 on DVB box has 9 male ,i would be grateful for any help many tx

if your laptop has usb ports , you can buy a seriel to usb cable, try eb@y , about ?10 max.

most come with image already on, do u get DK when boot up? just need to ftp the K*ys n R*ms.

u can flash a backup image with flash wizard pro with a crossover cable maybe some can send u a copy of theirs, it should have an ext .fwz instead of .img

can u post a link to where u bought it, if it has a gemini image its prob a clone of a dreambox like the blackbox/oem etc so will be ok to use the DK img
