    dreambox on laptop

    hi, is it possible to watch your dreambox on your laptop? i have my dreambox connected to a wireless router with an ethernet cable, can i c these stations wirelessly on my laptop? cheers

    Enter the ip address of the dreambox into your web browser, username:root and password:dreambox.

    That gives you the web interface. You can click on Zap and then choose a channel, that will switch to that channel on the dreambox. Then click WEB-X-TV at the top left and it will open and window and show you the live channel. Not all channels work but the majority of them do.

      thanx for that, did that but when i click on x tv its comes up donwload plugin but it cant find one to download???

          cheers m8, did that but still cant c it as i'm usin firefox, it works in ie6, but dont use that normally, any help...

              I use firefox and it works fine.

              What is the exact plugin that it wants installed?

                lve tried on 5 pc's and its never worked ???? strange that


                edit : apart from 2 seconds ago just started to work ..? sure it wasnt working a few months ago m8 ..

                    i installed that plugin that you recommended, its fine in IE, only prob, not sound on any of the sky stations, any suggestions....

                        Do your images have a "VLC" link on the top right of the menu bar? I've found this to be quite useful if you don't want to go down the VLC plug-in route. It should produce a .M3U which you can open in VLC to view the stream coming from the Dreambox.
