Dreambox vpid vlc

hi,

Just wondering if there is a setting i can edit to allow multiple pcs to watch the dm stream.

If computer A is connected and watching a stream then computer B tried this disconnects computer A.

PS. This is local lan no over the internet.

i'm not sure if this will be possible or if it is the quality will probably start to suffer due the load of trying to stream massive amounts of data to two pc's

It can be done, but not by dreambox itself.
You need to set up vlc on computer A to stream to computer B.
Vlc is a very powerful tool, i recommend VideoLAN - User support and help for aid on the settings.
But first you can try this.
Open vlc
select file, then "open network stream"
select http/..... and type your dreambox's ip
under advanced options, select "stream/save" and click settings
then select "play locally" and "http" and type in ip of computer B
Press ok,ok and movie should start

On computer B.
open network stream, select "http" and type in computer A's ip followed by :1234
press ok and movie should start.
If this does'nt work, then read or use trial/error method.
