help needed for black box 500

Dear all, recently i enounter blank screen and remote does not response to the black box. Is it because SH has renew the channel? If so how shd i start to do it? Someone quote me $60 to do it. .pls help me

Dear expert,

After reading the forum, the step i needed to do is
1) buy a null modem
2) dl dreamup program 1.3.3.1
3) dl image file of 500Plijade3 image
4) ethernet cable =>need this?

connect to desktop=>install dreamup=>connect nullmodem from PC to black box ==>Guide: Flashing a Dreambox with Dreamup

Is my understanding correct? Is there anything i miss out or i need to take note?

How long have you use thos blackbox? I think the flash chip is giving you problem. Even if you reflash, the image may drop very soon.

Suggest you get the chip change.

ive just bought one from aliexpress will be arriving within next 3 weeks hopefully because of the chinese new year. Anyway I'll need all your help when it arrives by the looks of it, but I'll follow the above links first.

You can reflash but i cant say if it will last till the image drop again.

cheers for that I know this is true usually but it's Chinese New Year the guy I bought it off told me the mail services are on holiday until the 18th so won't be posted out until then.

you sure about this? i thought no one knows when this will happen what makes you think it will be in a few weeks?
