DM500 noobie question about k*ys

Hi folks, please excuse my ignorance but I have a question about k*ys. I havn't flashed my db500 yet (still waiting for cables) but thanks to the excellent guides & info on the site I'm feeling confident. My question is in relation to the k*ys. If you follow the setup as described on the site, do you have to update the k*ys manually thereafter of do they autoupdate. I'm asking because there seems to be quite a few references to manually updating k*ys & and wondering if this is what's required going forward? I'm going to flash dk1.1. If they do autoupdate I'm assuming you need a permanent connection to the internet. Anyway that's it. Hopefully someone can explain.

if you have the right ones then they will auto update m8,and nope yopu dont need to be linked up to internet ,only of you want to use the dk server and you can set up so its wifi

When you say the right ones......I have downloaded the ones from the Dk database.....will they be OK?

am sure there the right ones m8 try them and see if everything clears ,mind and follow tut on how to clear channels if they do clear then you have the right ones

you will be fine mate. you dont need to be permanently connected to the internet though for the keys to update. just make sure you have the magic files and they will roll automatically when the cc do their bit.
