    Dreambox 7025

    Does anyone know where I can get a working image for a Dreambox 7025 with a DVB-C and DVB-S tuner?

    Its a great looking box but that is all it is without the image.

      Which Images have you tried ?
      I only have the twin sat tuners but it should be a similar process, just select the cable tuner and do a scan.
      You might need to get a copy of cable.xml from somewhere depending on which area you are in or whether the image has bruteforce scan included.

      So far I have tried LT, Pli Iolite , Gemini and a few others, all are good but I found Gemini the most stable.

              I would try gemini first as it is more customisable but you wont get now and next on the cable tuner (unless they have fixed it since I tried the gemini image). I use Pli Iolite on my twin cable tuner 7025+ and it works 99.9% reliably. I almost never need to do a reboot ( can't remember when I had to last).

              You don't need a cable.xml as the 7025 will blind scan and find the transponders.
              500c, 600c, 7025+cc, 7000s with a 1m steerable dish

                  @Jims - Any tips on how to do a Multi-Boot ?
                  I like Gemini but also like to test new images and although its quick to flash I would like to be able to multi-boot to test new images and just roll back to Gemini when done. Thanks. Foo.

                      You install a plugin called Barry Allen. It works best IMHO if you put a compact flash card into your 7025. Barry Allen then installs the other images onto the CF card.

                      I usually copy the new image from my PC to the hard drive in the 7025. Then run the Barry Allen plugin and tell it to install the image from the hard drive and away you go.

                          I use Barry Allen from Extreme IV 2.0 Compact Flash
                          works a treat. download ba from blue panel
                          allso very useful for backing up your image
