DM800 To buy or not to buy a Dreambox 800 or not?

Ok, as many of you know I've several dm500c around the house and kids and everyone happy etc...

I just got email from dvbseller telling me they have the Dreambox 800HD model again going for ?274 and I'm seriously concidering it due to the price.

However, part of me is saying I dont need it and if I buy it will be just to have the best there is, etc... typical man-toy thingy...

I have 50" HD tv blueray etc.. I know my 500 is not giving me HD at the moment so..

So, questions in my head I could use your opinion on is:

Does Virgin have many HD channels, if so how many and is more planned?

What image can I use on the 800? The 500 DK image will work or not?

Whats the max hard drive the DM800 can take, aonyone know a cheap supplier?

The DM800 comes with 3 tuners apparently, sat, cable, terrestrial. Could I just plugin the cable tuner and sell the sat and terrrestrail ones to make some money, to whom?

If you already have a 800 posting you opinion on it would be benifical.

personally i wouldnt spend that amount of money on a clone box, for a 800, 8000, 7020 or 7025 i would only consider buying a genuine box, but thats just my opinion and i'm sure some will no doubt disagree.

as far as i know of virgin only have 1 HD channel

looks like they have cut the price on these must not be selling many but your only going to save 90 pounds ok 90 pounds but you cant use any of the up to date images not some thing i would be looking to do but if you can save the extra bit then i think you would be better of waiting to get the real thing

Yep I know they are clone and all my dreambox are clones so nps there. Hand one bricked on me using gemini, but dvbseller replced it without problems.

I wasnt aware Vrigin only had 1 HD channel? If thats the case, perhaps I shouldnt get it for cable?

I guess the picture will be better on none HD channels or not?

yeh bit of a waste m8 for cable try the sat one instead if you really want to take the plunge for a hd box you will also need a dish and a motor helps to maximise your channels

even if virgin had more to offer hd wise its a bit pricey for something that may not be around too much longer(only rumour not fact btw) but i for one would go the satellite way and a Hd box is my next spend
