    Which Cable Reicever?????

Hello to all, as you will no doubt be able to tell from my question i am a true nebie and looking for some sound advice from the experience users on here. I am looking to purchase a new digital cable reciever and then set up myself etc. I have previously owned Dbox & Dreambox 500C. (fully set up by seller) and gathered from trawlling the nest that these are no longer in production. So I would like any advise on which new one to buy with the following in mind:
    Price
    Quality - Picture / Functionality /Reliability
    Ease of setting up
and anything else you may think of. In anticipaition of your help.

    Many Thanks - Rhino

If you just want plug n play best to go for a Starview or Eurovox or the likes. If you like to play around flashing new images etc there is the dm600 or there are dm clone boxes out there which i'm led to believe are just as good as the originals. If you do go for a dm clone don't put any gemini images on as this will kill the box and you will have to jtag it back to life.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

personally i would go with dm500c, they are very realiable and robust and the latest images work a treat. i have never had a problem. you can still get a decent one if you look in the right places.

      good luck

Kryptview for me. I am in Ireland and its the only one working and it has commercial support for the magic bits. Also Easy to flash. Downside is no Networking afaik. I have only ever seen one btw !

The 500c has issues with low sound. Also signal can be flakey sometimes and no commercial support. However they are cheap nowadays.

I wouldn't buy a starview or eurovox given that they still have no irish fix.
