How do i flash a FYHD800-C box? Is it using USB to flash? trying to flash my set.

Yes, it via USB using a flashdrive. Unless u hv their proprietory firmware "FY.ap" u r almost hopeless. All image in this forum r unless 2u. My condolences.

Indeed! Theirs are non Pli images and cannot access the RS232 or LAN ports woh.

Juz some nonsense abt USB flashing, they are : U-backup, U-boot and U-flash. For this FY... boxes, name the flash files as fy.ap format.
Strictly for those daring and adventurous only. I bricked many boxes b4. Beware, it is a nand flash.

I no grandmaster lah, i juz the kopi-Ahpek on the assembly floor.
Yes, it is possible, but try generic U-boot 1st 2c if the box boot-up again. Corrupted boot sector, this method usually ok. But mostly the 2 switch boot i/c is at fault, depending which version and period of production. I left production 1yr+ ago 4got what i/c nbr liao.

Must hv box to find the fault. FY800 ver1.0 to ver5.0 are very much same, all their version update may juz for show or marketing purpose only. I hv seen their ver V, not much diff xcept a large power supply.

Hi Jatrophaseed,
Need your valuable advise. My set is MVHD800C-V just got for 2 month ago, cannot boot up issue after trying to flash with new firmware. Can I use this fy.ap with the usb drive method too? or need to send for repair? Any help will be appreciated.
