DM500 NEW DM 500-C could not receive any signals .. HELP!

just received my dm500-c today and plugged it into my tv. though i can see the list of SH channels available but when i choose them nothing shows up! it writes above the signal there "unknown". Can anyone please advice me what to do to make it work? Also do it need to subscribed to SH cable at least once before my i am actually able to receive any signals from SH? Any help is greatly appreciated!

you should be able to receive free to air channels if not you may need to flash and /or set up tuner
you need to say what you have done so far so we can help

I have not done anything to the box yet as I just received it, also I'm not sure of how to do with flashing or setting up tuner. with regards to the setting of tuner what exactly do I have to do? thanks so much!

mine arrived too, got some sh!tty channels on it but no signal...did a transponder search but nothing found...guess we have to ftp some files over using files from the other thread

FTP = File Transfer Protocol

There's plug n play set but the price is higher, what you have ordered is a bare set which you need to setup yourself.

i've flashed a few images for 500C but without keys and scce it's not workin....can any senior be so kind as to provide the files. i used keys and scce from expensive sets I bought from the local market gangstas , ftp out the keylist.txt with autoroll.key, copied them them onto this new clone with DK 1.1, didn't work.... created backup images of the expensive sets, flashed them on this new clone, didn't work....it ain't working!!.....hope i needn't pay $ to the gangstas just to get keys and scce, help!

U can retrieve the keys and scce files from the expensive set. Which program did u use to backup and flash the image?

using for SG...and i bricked the new box when i flashed a backup of the old gangsta box...finally bought a cross cable at SLS for S$6 today, used Dreamup to flash in the SG DM500C OpenPLi-Turko BlackGlass image, FTP'ed over the /var/keys autoroll files and /var/scce files from the old gangsta box....works now....cheers
