    DM500-C no signal detected

    Hi,

I'm new to this forum and have been seeking solution to my Dreambox DM500-C. Hope everyone can bear with me.

My DM500-C have been working fine and receiving all channel from SP SxxxHxx where one day the screen turn blanks showing no signal inputs upon power on. No even the Jade green home page screen. I have 2 box and i tested with the other one and its working fine.

The pwr on led always showing green and cannot turn off to red, turn off and on the main pwr plug also green.

Anyone able to guide me to the solution or direct me to any repair shop.

    Thank you very much

U need to reflash yr box. Backup keys and scce from working box and after reflash the problem box, transfer the keys and scce over. Read the sticky on how to flash via dreamup and how to ftp.

Previously one of my 2 box have the same problem, i took it to a repair guy and he claim that one of the chip is spoilt. Try to contact him this round but did not reply my msg. So have to search for help online.

What are the chances that the chip is gone? Will try to do reflash thingy.

Bro Kaospand, pls share what have you did so far so that we can recover our box with the helps rendered in this forum.

AK77, just reflash the set and it will be ok. my set also got this problem and I followed what my supplier provided me with the flash firmware and process. now the set works again.

reflash your box using dreamup 1.3.3.1- http://www.skystar.org/redirect.php?...24f72afe49a5b0

null modem cable (Level 6 Sim Lim Square- shop is in front of the lift run by indians)
Aten usb converter (Bizgram Level 5 Sim Lim Square) - (If your PC has a coms port, then you can dont need this)
