I saw someone asking about this in a thread the other day. Can't find that thread now, so I'll post it here for anyone else who may be interested.
You can not record to your PC using the Dreambox's recording feature. You can, however, record the transport stream via HTTP using an application called TSReader.
I've only tested this on DK1.1, however a 45 minute recording came out flawlessly.
Firstly, turn your Dreambox onto the BBC HD transponder via the remote control. Secondly, navigate to Enigma Web Interface (http://your.dreambox.ip/) and login (root/dreambox).
Once your Dreambox is on the BBC HD channel, click the VLC link on the EWI and save the playlist file offered to hard disk.
Open the playlist file you saved in notepad and copy the URL to your clipboard.
Next, open up TSReader and select the HTTP plugin. Paste the URL you copied from the playlist file into the URL prompt in TSReader.
On the left hand side in TSReader will be a list of streams. The bottom one should contain the AC3, Video and Teletext streams. Select this, and then select Record Program in the Record menu.
In the Output File box, navigate to where you want the recording to be stored and then enter any filename. Next you must specify what naming convention to use in the "Files to be Named" box. I use "recording-%y%m%d-%h%i%s.%e", however you can use anything you wish.
Next, select any other streams you may wish to save (Teletext,
). Tick "Force PIDs to be ATSC compatible" if you want to use editor software such as VideoRedo, and then click Start.
You should now be recording BBC HD to your hard drive. Enjoy
