DM 500C Suddenly hang when watcing TV

Hello frens, Recently i got this problem with my 500C, after watching for a while, the box get hanged and i need to off the main power supply and re-start it again. For a hour show, it can at least hang for 2-3 times. Is my 500C spoilt or something wrong with my box. I have try to refresh different image but it still hang. Please advise and help.... Thanks

This may sound stupid... I dun mean you but myself. What battery you use on your remote? Energizer Akaline Battery???

As far as I know, the problem with wrong ic (74HC04D) used was long time ago & they have already realise the error as well as stop using this ic so should not have the same issue now.

Juz as i suspected... You should not use energizer battery as the battery are too strong for the remote.

Even without pressing anything on the remote, it will be sending out stray signal that cause the box to hang if it is within range.

Try using supercell battery (i.e: GP, Sony, eveready) to see if problem persist. Do feedback after you try.

I change to GP battery and get a new cable, now working fine...really learn something new now here

last night i encounter one time hang after changing to GP battery. So far so good....
