I Just want to say why you lot have taken the piss have you thought about im trying to help what are you lot doing and what about all them people with no tv just as i thought none of you care so even if a fix is found by me or someone else i hope you lot dont get it thanks for the support

Lets get a few things into perspective here mate.

-you posted on at least 3 forums( 3 large forums in that,, a lot larger than your own ) i know of with same thing claiming fix was ready for testing in ireland correct?

Why why why?
you asked me on msn if hypercam worked on a dreambox,
I told you yes, but the irish version only works on iTgate,
1. did you think i would just make this part up?
2. did you think i wouldnt have released it as dreambox if it had worked on a dreambox?

despite this, all you tried to do was rip the cam and/or keys from the iTgate image.
This was hardly a fix ready for testing, as showed on here, dw, and afterdawn,, noticed you DIDNT post on sk right enough, i wonder why.

Ok fair enough,, perhaps you do only want to help,
but dont you think you should have started a thread,

"lets see if we can get hypercam to work",
instead of claiming to be some cable guru who dumped the card yourself,.

as you found in a very public way,, the itgate fix WONT work in the dreambox,,,

Now if you really want to help the guys find an answer show them your inteligence stop trying to post on huge sites where you will get found out for what you are pretty dam quickluy.
and start bouncing some more ideas around,, but preferably telling the guys what to test , rather than you make some dodgy makeshift backup image and gathering a load of email addresses from around the forums to send the image.
Im sure lots of irish people are more than capable of FTP any fix or possible fix to there box and run some logs.

For what its worth,, even the correct keys wont work with mgcamd or evocamd,, theres a start for you.

well said m8 i live in ch**us area as yet unaffected ,thankfully and yet i travel 60-70 miles a day trying to help people in cork, limerick ,waterford, i do not get paid for it its a hobby ,if i come across any thing i will share it here on this site

Now satman don't get me wrong I would love to be a fly on your wall & I understand that you look after your interests first as would I.

But I must say I am getting a little pissed off with the "I know but i am not telling" from people that know a hell of a lot more than me.

So just let me say this to all the GODs I am here willing & able to test & or try anything that the GODs see fit to tell us mere mortals how to get these dreamboxs working.

why? its very easy to FTP something to your box.. i ment in relation to this thread and 'doc''s so called fix... if he had posted the files people to FTP, rather than try to make some fix from england in a backup image, im sure lots of tests could have been done quicker..

seems even n1 keys dont get posted on many sites these days,,,,why would that be?

That depends which angle you look at the situation from.
Some people/traders/businesses put a lot of time and money into supporting there customers,,, some people like to make a quick buck and let others worry about the 'fixing'.
so why should the guys who put in the work suffer?
from dodgy dave at the local market, to ted in the pub, to lu wang in china, there all quick enough to sell boxes and make a quick buck,, why is the anger not pointed towards them? many of whom still sell boxes of all ranges they have no intentions of supporting.

The majority of people who buy boxes from these people all expect free TV is a god given right, because they have a dodgy box, and because so many people have these boxes someone must come up with a fix,, well as being shown in the past and now present this isnt always going to be the case.

You can look thru many forums,, its the same everywhere, many many people posting wanting a fix,,, people offering to help get a fix, people angry because they dont have a fix.
How much testing and experimenting actually happens as to what people are saying,,,, dont know how many times i've read 'ive tried everything',,,, i'd be stinking rich if I had a pound for every time i read that,, but 99% of time were not even hearing what this consists of,, what exactly have people tried?,, what didnt work,, what cams/keys/scripts are people 'trying everything" on?.
