DM500 CANT CONNECT DREAMBOX TO FLASHFXP, FILLEZILLA,DREAMBOX CONTROL CENTRE

TX TO ALL THAT HAVE HELPED ME SO FAR , THIS IS MY 1ST ATTEMP AND THE HELP IVE HAD HAS BEEN 1ST CLASS

OK THIS IS MY PROBLEM I AM GOING TO TRY COVER EVERYTHING I HAVE TRIED, I HAVE FOLLOWED TUT TO FLASH BOX WITH IMAGE DK1.1. DONE A SCAN FOR MY AREA AND IT SEEMS TO BE A SUCCESS I AM PICKING UP FREE CHANNELS BBC ITV ETC SO I PRESUME THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH IMAGE AND CAN RULE OUT REFLASHING IMAGE? OR IS THIS AN OPTION?
MY SET UP IS D LINK ROUTER ,AND I HAVE NO PC JUST LAPTOPS USING A WIRELESS NETWORK WITH WINDOWS VISTA .I HAVE FOLLOWED EVERY TUT ON THIS SITE ON TRYING TO CONNECT DREAMBOX 500C TO MY LAPTOP USING CROSSOVER CABLE RJ45 TO RJ45, THIS IS MY 2ND CROSSOVER CABLE JUST INCASE 1ST ONE WAS FAULTY. I HAVE ALSO TRIED CONNECTING TO ROUTER WITH ETHERNET CONNECTION BUT KEEP GETTING SAME RESULT CONNECTION FAILED I HAVE USED 1ST FLASH FXP FILEZILLA, DREAMBOX CONTROL CENTRE, I HAVE PUT IN IP ADDRESS ON DREAMBOX SAVING AND UNCHECKING DHCP THEN CHANGING LAN SETTINGS INTERNET PROTOCOL TCP/IPV TO WITHIN SAME RANGE AS DREAMBOX .192.168.1.100 BUT I TRIED A FEW DIFFERENT IPS STILL CONECTION FAILED, I HAVE ENABLED ALL THESE FTP PROGRAMMMES ON EXCEPTIONS LIST SO ITS NOT FIREWALL.WHEN I CONNECT TO LAN NETWORK IT SAYS LIMITED CONNECTIVTY BUT THAT?S ALL I GET , I HAVE LATEST FIRMWARE ON ROUTER ,FEEL LIKE I HAVE COVERED EVERY POSSIBLE AVENUE I CAN TAKE UNLESS ANY OF YOU CAN SPOT SOMETHING ELSE I CAN TRY CHEERS IN ADVANCE STAGS

When trying to connect to your box have you disabled wifi on your lappy? Mine wont connect unless its disabled.

ps. Stay away from the Caps Lock m8

I use DCC mate, if you connect your 500 to router with standard ethernet cable, the router will automatically give the drembox and ip address, so you have to find the defauld ip for your router to get that ip, type that in your net brouser, which should bring you into your rouer setting and user control.(search defauld ip for your make of router in google)
On mine, dreambox ip is in expert settings under lan statistics, dreambox ip that router has assigned should be there somewhere, once found, enter that into your dreambox in 'Expert Settings' and dcc should connect for you on wireless!

As above use dcc. Its simple. And if you need to go into the menu on the image network settings and tick dhcp if your doing the router thing.

If not untick dhcp and give the dreambox an ip address of your choice.

Then in DCC click on crossover and type in the dreamboxes ip.

Should connect no probs.

if you type ip of dbox into the address bar can you see the remote interface (i.e. the 'online' remote control)?

the reason i'm asking is cos - if you can then it's settings your inputting to ftp if u can't then let me know cos it's something more fundamental & there's a few things u could try

Hi m8 last thing i can think of is the ethernet port on the box could be ~~~~ed
maybe u can pick up an image that is ready to go and away u go

n1 mtv1 someone sent me their back up image and tried that done a brutefore uk scan now all premium channels are listed but still only getting free to view channels went to skysports 1 restarted evocamd 2.12 no joy ,but i am willing to try your image if thats ok tx to everyone for trying to help stags

Ok seeing your from edinburgh this is very strange
i got a load of boxes same as i previously have used dm500's

i cant get any ftp to link to box or for the box to discover host for the dk server

now this is a new batch of boxes from an electronics warehouse in edinburgh
my old box same style dm500 plug in cable in through router an hey presto ftp no probs an server no probs

new boxes flashed with the same dk 1.1 image i have used previously and dhcp on no joy
change ip's no joy copy every setting from old box for network barr ip still no joy
i backed up my image from working dm500 but failed to backup keys an cams
i flashed image to new boxes still no joy with network
everything seems fine barr network access

anyone any ideas or is it a bit suss i get a load of boxes from edinburgh same as orginal poster and we have the same problem

yep id say a hardware problem m8, a m8 of mine got 10 last year that had same prob, return em or last resort flash a workin backup

yeah exactlly same box i had 10 out of 10 i got 3 to network up an still have 2 sitting ready to flash
was just trying to get ones working before i flash the 2 thats left

the only visible difference on they boxes compared to my older boxes is that the power button is black on new ones and silver on old ones

does anyone have an image with keys and cams included
only thing that gets me if they go down again and its a case of ftping over files then the boxes are as good as door stops

i will do man im looking at trying to back up one of my working boxes
already tried that though and it never backed up keys but will have another go as i must have forgot something

i will let you know how i get on with the boxex being returned as already had the supplier telling me the new firmware has to to be sent over using the RJ cable
myself and everyone on here know that is a load of bull

you flash over an image then ftp overy keys an the likes
same as i have done on previous 100 odd boxes
