dm500 help

hi i have a working dm500 which i have recently purchased. i flashed and everything went fine after i added keys n roms. problem is my old dm500 which is actually branded as a eurovox ultra was a different image so i tried doing the same as my new dm500 by flashing and adding keys n roms but it i just get black screens on all channels. i can't find a reason why! i was wondering if i back up my working box and flash the non-working box with the back up would this work. any help/suggestions please?

yeah mate you can back up the image as long as it is compatible, cant really see why someone would clone a dreambox and call it a eurovox ultra, doesnt make sense. are you sure its not actually a clone eurovox and not a dreambox

i thought the same thing but after researching it i have found it is a dreambox i have had it connected to my network and all the updates and bouquets are all the same as dm500 dunno why it is labled as as eurovox ultra. even after i bought a new dm500 it is exactly the same except from the badge saying the brand.
so would i be able to back up my dreambox and flash the eurovox/dm with the back up?

have a look here press backup instead of flash and rename the saved backup to
whatever-u-want.img

if its dream to dream and ur sure it is a dream then yes ive done it plenty times and sent backups to m8's

just remember the backup will save on ur pc wit a file ext, just right click and rename to .img
or dreamup wont see it

i am pretty sure it is. when i got the box and it got blasted in december i was looking for a fix but couldn't find a eurovox ultra. sum1 said it maybe a dreambox so i added the nagra fix and it worked. then wen i bought my new one i realised it wasn't the dk image i had on my old box. i checked the info and it was blank so i didnt know wat image it was. i flashed the dk image added the keys and roms, scanned and found all services but i just get black screens on all channels so thats why i thought maybe back up the new box flash to old.
