Newbie question

Hi to all Guru I am looking for a dreambox setup box but there are so many set to chose from. Kindly advise which setup box to get now. what is the step need if I get a brand new empty set. what is New image and what is SGSH Bouquet and lastly what is Digital kao image. the more I read the more blur I am as I don't know where to start now.

Guru Kindly do guide me if I got it mix up- Example if I get a new set and the I copy the Sg images does that I can used my set right away. Do I still need to FTP it?

ok i will use DBedit to try when my box arrive. i am lost again on the null cable and the eternet cable. for using dbedit i will be using eternet cable to FTP right and null cable to flash image right?

U shud hv waited for yr box to arrvd. It seems many Chinese seller posted " Sg image and Keys are pre-installed", so they shud b PnP.

you dont need to use null modem cable if you are buying 800 series box
Only 500c need null modem cable to reflash

800 box use ethernet cable can flash

Hi wat I bought was not install with anything yet as the pre install was at higher and I believe was not that update so I decided to try everything myself. I had read the newbie guide now just waiting for it to arrival so I can try myself. By the way I bought 800se and I will be using my brother blackbox to find the key and scce. Hope I dun damaged his set and if can I will try to update the boutique for him too. Anyway thanks for all the GURU here for their feedback

For those buying a raw set, they can just flash those image preconfigured for SG for their box model and transfer the keys, restart softcam and all channels are viewable. If there is new channels available, they can run the online update channels via the plugin in the image created and maintained by uu161 but will depend on the internet provider. For updated channels on dm800se image, u can find it here.

Not able to find the key and scce I think my brother blackbox the supplier had change the password to the set already. Now jam not able to have key and scce, anybody can pm me the key with scce any help is much appreciated
