DM800HD dead, what to do?

Hi all,

think my set may have overheated (forgotten to switch it off) and died. Keep hearing some whirring sound when trying to boot it up.

Is it possible and worth repairing or better to get a new set?

Any suggestions on repair or where to get a set will be appreciated.

really? means the whirring sound is nothing to do with hardware failure?

Try to on the box after it has cool down. When powering up, observe if the front lcd is lighted up and whether it shows the progress of the booting. The whirring sound could be from the fan inside the box.

Hi ypvs125,

thanks for your suggestion. I managed to boot up the set and flashed in a new image. Then I realise that i may need the keys and scce file cos I can only view FTA channels. Having a tough time getting those.

I'm sort of at the end of my wits on getting the scce files and keys for my DM800HD. could anyone point me somewhere or give me a clue on how to get them?
