      as ted says try telnet.

      heres some instructions

Slightly different to other dreamboxes. You can either use the Dreamup software (takes ages) or use the method below instead.

      1. Boot the box, goto the communication menu and note the ip address.

      2. Run DCC, connect to the dreambox. Once the network is connected ok, click on the the 'Telnet' option.

      3. In the telnet window, type the following, pressing <return> at the end of each line.

      mount /boot -o remount,rw
      rm /boot/*
      reboot

      4. You should now get a message saying that the Dreambox is rebooting.

      5. Wait a few seconds and then run Explorer (Firefox or whatever) and enter the ip address of the Dreambox in the address bar.

      6. On the screen that appears, choose the 'Upgrade firmware' option, find the .nfi file and click the 'Flash' button.

      7. Once the progress bar reaches 100%, reboot the box

      all done

I find that after I kill the bootloader in telnet and reboot the dm600, I always have trouble connecting to my box because the router always assigns it different ip address then previous to reboot the box. I always end up checking the dhcplist in the router to discover the new ip address to flash with the web interface.

On your pc do Start > Run > type in telnet 192.168.x.xxx ip address of your dreambox

                              1. In the telnet window, type the following, pressing <return> at the end of each line.

                              mount /boot -o remount,rw
                              rm /boot/*
                              reboot

                              2. You should now get a message saying that the Dreambox is rebooting.

                              3. Wait a few seconds and then run Explorer (Firefox or whatever) and enter the ip address of the Dreambox in the address bar. If you cannot connect to your dreambox than check the ip address of your dreambox in your router in case it has changed and type that ip address into your browser.

                              4. On the screen that appears, choose the 'Upgrade firmware' option, find the .nfi file and click the 'Flash' button.

                              5. Once the progress bar reaches 100%, reboot the box
