    DM500 TOTAL NERD ON DREAMBOX

Hello everyone, pardon me if my questions have been raised before in the forum. Kindly direct me to that forum please.
Am really upset that my one month old DM500C is not working now. Appreciate help on it. One fine night, the image just hanged and when I switch off the main power switch and on it again, no signal is longer detected by the box. Wonder what is wrong and is there a way to revive the box? Am staying in Singapore.
    THANKS in advance.

Hmm, by no signal, do you mean pitvh black on your telly?

Try hooking it up to your router and see if you can get a signal (valid ip etc) first.

Call your seller and ask for replacement set, since it is a relatively new set.
Either the box flashchip is faulty, or the AC/DC Adapter is faulty.
If you reflashed the firmware, the problem will come back again.

A typical local seller! If u don't want to pay, then u got to learn to flash and ftp files which is a basic for a dreambox user. Read the sticky thread and u will understand more.

Yup...happen to me once on my DM800HD SE. Just hook it up with a router and after 1-3 mins, everything resumes normal again.

Take a RJ45 cable aka network cable, plug it into your box's network port on and the other end on your router and see if it works for u.
