Cloned boxes never seemed to find ANY channels with automatic searches (such as brute force) for me. If I were a guessing man I'd say the software doesn't 100% support the cloned box tuner and it almost certainly has bugs WRT lock & sync

Your only real hope is to ask a friend who has a box in your area to save off his "ALL SERVICES" list and copy it to your box.

Or get them to tell you the transponder frequency of one of your missing channels. You can then do a manual scan, enter the transponder frequency manually, click INV checkbox if there is no lock & sync and then perform a scan. This should add all the services on that transponder.

be patient m8 you have to wait for the server to update. normally about 30 minutes to a hour..

HI does anyone know what kind of coax-cable virgin media use, and how can you check an existing line to see if there is a signal coming into your house

Doesn't really matter what cable they use m8 in regards to signal. To check an existing line to see if it's live, the easiest way is test with a subbed box or modem, or cloned modem or a starview dbox dreambox etc.

Erm ordinary 1-core coax?? Same as regular TV aerials. What does it matter?

Easiest way is to use a male UHF aerial connector and plug directly into a TV and search for unencrypted analog cable TV (BBC/ITV).

Works today but they are soon going to switch off analog cable.

If you have an RF cable from a home computer (Amiga, ST, Spectrum, etc) it is perfect to connect a telly to the NTL box on the wall in your house. RCA phono -> Male UHF
