hi all the ip address is not showing up on my dreambox 500c what can I do thank you

is dhcp enabled ? what IP does it say ?

Look inside the top grill is the network led light up or flashing ? is the Ethernet port leds flashing etc ?

dhcp is on but no ip

what about the lights ? you need to be more informative or we are pissing in to the wind.

am new to all this mate and am not very good at spelling right the box comes on can get all the menus up but it say ing no ip address definled and that's it mate

is the box connected to the internet,did you power it off at rear and do the same with router and modem for 30 secs then on and give it a min,is there a network test from the menu- setup you can run ,also a network wizard to run to get box to connect to internet.

have you looked inside the top of the grill to see the led light?

look at the back of the box, is the Ethernet port lit up ?

no its not lit up mate

Well as a test using same cable plug it in to a laptop and and switch of wifi on the laptop. does the laptop get a connection?

Troubleshoot everything then it narrows down the problem.

happy days I got it on the net now (f**k Ethernet lead) but Its say no transponders found now

omg you not have it shoved in ,try scanning on sat that dish is set to,otherwise deffo no tps found,usually 28.2 so recheck what your scanning on.

One point, you are in a sat section and you are using a dm500c.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ,need a bigger screen missed the c bit ,think thats another live coaxial feed from vm you need,you dont need the lan to scan on.

maybe start a new thread in the dm cable section?
