few channels missing

can someone please help.....

i have ch@rus mmds cork on a dream 500t
i receice 125 channels including radio and think this is the norm. i have noticed that 5 of these channels are listed but are just blank. i think these are from the same transponder. the odd day they could work but only for a short period.

They are
3e
boomerang
cartoon network
sky sports news
cnn
has anyone had this problem before^

if they are all on the same transponder you may have a weak incoming signal that struggles to pick up certain frequencies. different area to you but my box is the same. a booster resolves my problem.

the mast is less than 2 miles from the house with a direct line of sight. Maybe i need to tweek it a bit. I have a lock at 99% signal strength so not much room for improvement.....

funny cause just did a automatic scan now and it picked up 131 channels again and the six in question work again.

Its a hardware fault with 500t's, certain bandwidth in tuner is dead, had the same thing myself before as 'they' move the freqs around a bit, hope they stay for ya but the only way you will get these for good if they change again ,is if you change your downconverter to an if622 or the yagi ariel with built in downconverter (info thanks to Glic83).this will move all freqs up by 440Mhz out of dead patch on tuner!
