Dreambox DM500C please help

Hi people been trying now for about 3 weeks still no joy in getting it to work tried loads of images put the magic files were they suppost to go


i dont get any ftv channels and the channel scans only show about 10 channels the epg shows whats on

sometimes the picture starts to clears but doesnt


im in mansfield on N+L any help on service files and all that greatly appreciated

What setup do you have? Do you have a cable modem, subbed box? Is your signal split in any way?

yes i have a cable modem


the cable comes in the wall then is split one for the modem the other for the box

Try removing the splitter. Plug the Dreambox directly into the wall and try scanning again m8.

try it on the direct need from the wall, no splitters -just to see if it can get the channels

Gemini or some other Software

I used Gemini 3.6 3.8 or 4.x to make the DM500C working with Nagra. Still looking for a solution to make Conax working.

ok guys done the no splitter scan



found 280 services etc


got some ftv channels running

none of the channels with thew lock symbol are viewable just a black screen all the epg is there

any ideas

What Image you using?

Have you transfered the magic files and the Nov2008 fix to the box?

Have you started the emu?

using dk1.1

using the dk1.1 image and have started the emu
not sure about the fix

what files are in the fix

The fix contains new rom files.
