By reading the stickies not only help you attain the basic but also make you speak the same language or termilogy. It is essential for all newbies which I was once a newbie too.

Seems like most of the guys are blinded by the lure of BPL, and forgotten about full N3 kicking in VERY SOON. (N1 total decommission)
I bet many noob will be stucked with sparkling shiny brand new paper-weight VERY SOON.

Usually the newer channel on new symbol will be affected first.

The rest will slowly migrate over from old symbol to the new 6090. When migration complete, it will be the D-day.

If the full migration kick in doesnt S*****B need to inform all existing customer for their hardware upgrade?
If the latter does really happen, won't our community have enough time to counter the with some firmware upgrade?

All the latest HD hubstation are N3 equipped. A software update will do the trick. Not sure how many legacy hubstations (only N1) are there but I reckon not many. Contract renewals with free N3 box upgrade should push these last customers to move over.

I received my grey color new N3 card since Feb'13 for my hubst@t1on.
All existing *Hub hardware are compatible with N3, and you need just a card change, which most of the subscriber already received via mail.
Perhaps not for the older SD STB.
But then, the N3 will definitely proceed ahead with HD signals before SD.

Thus its already many many months since the card change exercise already started, it could be any time soon.
