DM500 ber problem

Hi all,

have 500t with mmds. all chanels working fine except for a few including setanta on a particular transponder frequency,

SNR 99% AGC 56% BER 0%
on ten transponders

SNR 98% AGC 53% BER 38500 TO 100000
on setanta transponder

every 10 seconds or so the picture breaks up briefly only on these few chanels and is very annoying.

can i adjust any settings or PIDS and if so how do i do it?

I had the same problem ,i bought a yellow brick on fleabay,
done the job.

It could well be a few things that have caused this problem. It normally is down to low signal strength.

If your using a splitter then try a direct feed to the wall to eliminate that problem and get maximum power, if no joy try a different image that can sometimes solve the problem.

If not time to spend some money on a yellow brick or just a new phillips tuner and replace the old one if all else fails new box!!!!!

Oh yeah try the box at a mates house to see if the problem happens there as well !!!!!
