Well I can access the box over the network, but when I try to watch a channel and click on it. NOTHING happens. Using VLC also..nothing happens. Blank screen. LOL. It's not THAT important to me cos I already have a DM800 HD but just trying to figure it out more for sanity's sake than anything.

Hi Bro, finally able to view the HD channels on the PC. There's a few tips:-

For those that have errors viewing from the browser mode, even std def channels cannot view, you will have to install the VLC software first. Google VLC and download the latest v2. After that you should be able to view the channels using the browser mode.

For those that can see std def channels, but the HD ones is blank, or only have sound, i believe you need to load in a new firmware (at least that works for me), search for OpenPli-Turko v01 DM500 CCcam 3.19-2013.img at the download section and flash your box (backup your keys) and load in the bonquet.

The image might be chappy if you use wifi, so i advise to hard wire all the Ethernet connections to the router.

Hi, yes.. everything worked for me. Using PLI jade image after uploading the bouquet gotten from this thread, go to the web page interface and click on VPID, your browser will download a .m3u file. Play that file using VLC and you can view the channel. Even if the VPID is displayed as "none" just click on it and play the downloaded file using VLC player. It will start playing back.

I can only find update bouquets for DM800HD SE, and when i try to transfer it to DM500C, there were errors and couldn't finish the transfer.

Experience streaming on Web-X: some pixellation, kinda choppy at times. All on LAN to same switch. Meanwhile, streaming on the Dm800HD is a lil laggy i.e. you see the people move slower than usual.

You need a gigabit lan to ensure smooth streaming of HD contents. If you are already on GB lan, then restart the box and stream, will be fine. secondly, choose opengl instead of the default in tool, preference, video settings and set the deinterlace as auto.

I can only find update bouquets for DM800HD SE, and when i try to transfer it to DM500C, there were errors and couldn't finish the transfer.

Get a valid bouquet for E2 with the correct vpid apid open it using DB edit, open DB edit again only this time browse for your existing bouquet
Open it, from E2 bouquet right click to copy the valid BPL channel then open your existing bouquet paste to your fav channel list far right there you have the channel look for the vpid apid if empty than copy paste the vpid apid from the E2 bouquet.
Remember to delete the channel from the fav list if not the 3 digit direct rcu usage will not function well, send to box again your existing bouquet that it.

Another easy method is open DB edit open the valid E2 bouquet, (this is important read carefully) click tools select toggle between version 2, 3 & 4, if it says ''The version of the setting set is now changed to 2'' then it is set for E1 box 500C, if it says version 3 or 4 then do the above mention again until it sets to version 2 select ok.
Remember to set from option setting to cable reciever not Enigma 2, send to box that it.
Always do a backup of your bouquet before doing the 2 method. I won't be hold responsible if you do not back up your setting.

Take note you will need to stream from your pc to watch those HD channels

My network's gigabit LAN, sure, but it really isn't the issue cos the DM500 itself is not gigabit, only Fast Ethernet. As for the tool/preference bit, are you talking about within the box or in VLC?

There's no DM500, it either DM500C, DM500S or DM500T. The guys that uses E1 bouquets + beeepL are streaming it to their computers to watch.
Watching on the set-top box itself will probably hear sound BUT no pictures, even tho' the channels shows up.

i believe after u flashed it, you have to load the bouquets to get the channels.
