    DM800 HD PVR Password Help

    Hello fellow members,

    Got this DM800HD PVR STB recently. Rather new to this scene, i've been trying to FTP into my Dreambox using DCC.

    Apparently the user and password is incorrect.

    Telnet ConnectedFTP Connected

    Bootmanager: not found.
    Telnet Disconnected
    Telnet login incorrect!

    The above message was what i got.

    Thanks in advance.

    Any help on how to reset the password?

    P/S: I don't have the backups to my keys and scce.

      Another note is that when I went to the IP address of my box, it only shows dreambox webcontrol. There's no option there for me to flash a new image to it.

          User root password dreambox is default. You can change the password by telnetting into the box and typing in passwd.
          You can flash a new image by turning the power to the box off at the wall, hold the power button in on the box and turn the power back on. Wait untill you get an ip address on the box then release the power button. Type the ip in your web browser and choose firmware upgrade. Point it to the location of your new image and it will flash it in around minute or so. Make sure your image has the correct bootloader.

          The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

              Thanks for your prompt reply Bulld0g. But attached images show the problems I'm facing. Kindly advise on what to do..

                  On DCC click on the telnet tab on the left side and type in passwd and it will give you the option to change it from dreambox to whatever you want. The first image is of the web interface which you get by typing in your ip address in a browser, you need to turn the box off and follow my instructions and enter the new ip address in your browser.

                      Manage to get in the firmware upgrade. Regarding the telnet, I believe that my box pw isn't the default password as incorrect login was mentioned.

                      Another question, if I flash a image to it.. Will it reset it to the default password? Will I be able to view the encrypted channels as I don't have the access to my keys and scce to it. Any other way I can obtain other that thru FTP.

                          You will only decrypt the premium channels by using a c line. Talk is not allowed on here so if you don't know what i'm talking about you need to ask Mr. Google

                              Anyone know how to install the plugin tuxbox commander, couldn't find it in the plugin list. Seems like the source is not there.
