I've got a null modem cable to flash my DM500c, but got no socket on my pc to use the cable, so I can't flash the box via DreamUP, my question is can I use this: USB to Male RS232 DB9 Serial Null Modem Data Transfer Converter Adapter Cable PC | eBay

This kind of green adapter has high fail rate especially those made from China

thanks mate, have just used my pc at work, with dreamUP and the null modem, I keep getting aborted by user, Exiting.

Am flasing the Dk_v1.1.img and the Dreambox is not a clone.

Any ideas?

sorted, used a previous version - dreamup ver 1.3.3.1 and all working.
