I am sure it's probably because your query has been answered numerous times and can be found with a simple search.

Of course that is only an assumption. I hope it doesn't take too long to read the remainder of the replies.

Are you in the UK or elsewhere? As it is a cable tuner, I presume you have read the numerous threads in relation to Nagra 3. There are multiple links.

Setting up a cable set top box in the UK for channels other than free to air require a CAM and a server, (or sub which you know how to share), which unfortunately we cannot discuss on this forum.

Best way is to get the scan settings from your, (or any local), subbed VM box. From here you will have the exact QAM and symbol rate. Remember you will only receive the FTA channels.

There are other "plug n play" boxes, take a look in the Kryptview section if you want to go down that path.

I've had this dm 3 years I've Bean using it for sat
but I just purchased a c tuner for it as I wanted to do a bit of experimenting with the box
as I've heard on different sites that the uk sat scene may be changing in the near future .
                    thanks

The Sat scene is always changing but has much better support than the cable scene here in the UK. Hence why I would stick with the Sat side, however experimenting is always a good thing and one of the main reasons for a forum like DK.

Take a read through this thread http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-1-3-a-198102/ and it may help at least get you on the right footing. Once there you will have to take it off forum or onto another forum that allows this type of discussion.
