wierd 1 4 ya on a 500c please peeps

500c dbox here's where i'm at:

• remote control broke 2 weeks + ago i've been using my PC & the 'virtual' remote interface since (through a linksys router)
• has been fine & i've changed nothing
• i can connect via flash fxp to the box
• i can ping the ip & get a full response (no packets dropped at all)

HERE'S THE PROBLEM i cannot get the remote interface to come up by typing in the ip as i usually do???

can anyone help please cos my dbox is stuck on 1 channel

ps i've also tried different ports on my router

pps apparently it stopped working after my daughter pressed something on the enigma web interface but i don't know what

if you look on your router it should tell you what devices are connected and what IP that have taken.. have a look and see if has somehow changed its IP..

I've checked that & i can ping the ip & get a reply and i can ftp to it i just can't get the enigma web interface up & that's how we change channel at the mo because the remote's broken

I have gone through all the settings available to me on my web interface and i can't find a setting that would switch off the web interface .

now I'm even more stumped however..........

I've ordered a new remote I guess I'm stuck with ITV til that arrives!

hi peeps i've solved the prob!!

this is what i did just in case anyone has the same problem.....

- did an ip release & refresh

- rebooted PC & router

- then pressed & held the button on the front of dbox for about 3 seconds let the box do it's thing

- typed the last known ip in address bar & bingo enigma web interface is back

(dunno which bit of the above solved the prob BTW!!??)
