Need help to point me in the right direction

Dear gurus, I know this is not related to cable stuff. But I would like to know whether there is a way to watch TV3 channel from Malaysia, other than using the long antaennae with booster. I have also been thinking of using a sat box with the sat dish (I know it is illegal and should not be discussed here). But I would like to pursue it purely as a hobby..

Hence, i would appreciate it if you could point me to the right direction to learn more about this...

Which housing type are you living in?

Is your HDB new flat types without rooftop antenna?
If yes, then not much can be done other than like you mentioned, put up an indoor antenna on the window facing Malaysian with a booster.

If you are living in the old type HDB flat with the MATV on the rooftop, try hooking up your TV to the MATV wall socket.
I am able to watch all the 6 Malaysian channels this way.
