    SNR Dropped Suddenly

yesterday i flicked channels and my dbox 500 lost all channels including the free ones.... My signal strength is now down to 65% although in the past it has always been at 95% or above and i am using a 10db booster... Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this?

thanks in advance.. i'm relatively new to this!

Give it a few days to see if it comes back to normal. Cable companies like to play about at the weekend.

Probably the same way as the last time, if you leave it for a while it should come back. As DF says they like to mess around on the weekends and there is a lot of upgrade work going on just now.

          Hi
It could be your booster acting up, but I don't know why you should need a booster, the normal cable feed should be fine without one, unless of course you are 'T'ing/splitting all over the house to many boxes.

              Thanks for the responses guys..
I have tried removing the booster but still no joy with the SNR staying at 67%.
I have tested my modem on the same feed and that works OK..
Can you think of any other possible solutions? or are the cable company just messing around for longer than normal?

              cheers..
