Advice please

I have just recieved my Dreambox 500c and have ran a service scan on it. It seems to have picked up all the channels, But when i try and view them nothing shows. They dont work for some reason. BBC and a few normal channels are ok, but the others, i cant view.

Any advice is appreciated.

when you first turn the box on there should be a screen giving a name of it
or goto
menu>information>about

first make sure your cam is turned on (press the info button for 3 sec) i think
if the channels still don't clear you may have ftp the magic files
across to the box

Thanks Challah, The cam was already started, but still no joy. When you say the magic files, do you mean the roms??

I have FTP the roms across to my Dreambox and also changed the permissions to 755 as recommended in another post.

Still no joy.

there is a newer version of dk image Digital Kaos - Downloads - Digital Kaos v1.1 Image for Dm500 C/S/T i put this on then ftp the roms and keys and worked right off

the files you used are for ex ntl ireland
i don't think they work outside ireland
if you live in the uk the files you need are the nov fix
