DM500 trouble using the new image

hi,

I'm having trouble trying to upload the new image to get the dreambox 500c working on n.- l. I've downloaded the new file v1.1, filezilla and have saved everything on to my desktop. When i try to connect the box to the laptop - i keep getting "error connection" message. Is there a specific server and password that needs to be entered on the server connection? I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. Am a complete newbie.

are you following one of the guides from the download section?

Do you have the correct cable to connect to your box?

im using the dreambox ireland n2 fix.i have an ethernet cable connected from my laptop to the dm500c.sorry but not really up to date on any of this.

what software program are you using to connect to the box

trying to use filezilla?

never used filezilla myself but as far as i know it's an ftp program
used for transfering files not images
to load an image with what you have you need flashwizard
also what part of ireland are you from

I used FlashWizard to flash my D500c and it worked first time so fingers crossed for you pal....

hi guys, u can only use flash wiz pro to flash a backup image dat was created wit flash wiz ie .fwz images
use dreamup and null modem cable its a better job
and a ftp program like flashfxp, dats wat most peeps use

i believe the image he is trying to load is a backup created by flashwizard

when flashing say no to erase flash



put it to rte for a min then turn to sky sports

then rescan

The set up menu pin is 8500
