DK500 on a DM600

Hi, I'm a n00b, so please excuse the n00b questions.

In the Downloads>DreamBox > Images section there is a Digital Kaos image for the DM500.

I'd like to use it, since the Newbies Guide refers to it. But can this be image used on a DM600?

Scanning fro channels with my out of the box DreamBox, I am getting the message "no lock was possible" when I do a scan on NTL/Virgin. Is that to be expected, and do I need to follow the newbies guide before I can scan for channels?

use dk 500 image on dm600
you have look for the dm600 image
but you can still use the same guide to install it

no its only for the 500
there are lots of 600 images around if u have a clone stay away from gemini

u will prob need the cables.xml file in downloads as well
everything u need are in the red stickeys and read everything in there
u dont want to ~~~~ up dat box...yet....

once you got the image on the dm600 come back to here and may need a bit of help for the scanning feature

OK, cables XML made a big the difference. Thanks a lot guys.

Scanned loads of channels, and getting program info on screen/EPG. But most of the channels are blank. Only a few freeview channels showing (BBC, ITV, CH4 etc).

I am running the PLi Jade image, and I have installed and am running EvoCam as default Cam. I've copied the keys/roms as per the spoonfed newbies guide - but still nothing. Any suggestions?

if u have done it correctly just restart cam and leave on sly sports 1
and wait for picture

also i find evo 2.11 or 2.12 to be the best, wat one have u got on ?

Use evo cam 2.12 this is the most stable one i have ever used.
