    DM500 dm500c making sqweaking noise

ive bought 3 dreamboxes from china and all three make this sqeaking noise when the adverts come on.
one was for a good m8 and he lives about 1/2 mile away and it does it on his tv.my other m8 lives 3 miles away and the same.
i did have this problem before on a dreambox but i thought it was the mobo at fault soi skimmed it away and bought new one from someone else in china but its the same.
now im wondering , if its the signal strength in anyway and do i need a 4-5 db filter on to stop any noise ?.
i just cant believe its all 4 boxes in total that are at fault , especially if they were bought from different people.
also , could it have anything to do with splitters in the house or low high signals in my town or has it anthing to do with the 50meg upgrade they've been doing for a few month ealry this year.
i could post a MP4 video of the ITV adverts to show wot i mean if that helps.

Video would be good mate. What signal levels are you getting?

You sure theres nothing wrong with the TV/Scart lead? Adverts are louder on purpose, so could be a tv issue?

ive just flashed it with a neutrino img and various others but it still makes this high pitch sqiggle type noise when the adverts go from advert to advert.

i can only describe the noise similar to a knife and fork been rubbed together and rubbing your hand against a balloon , sometimes it very loud and annoying.

its happening in both m8's houses as well as mine and i did try it upstairs same thing happened.
i just tried to make a vid but its shite quality and you dont get the full affect of the mouse in the box effect.

are you using scart or the (red, white, yellow) connectors. ?

i am using the (red, yellow, white) video plugs i find it better quality than when i tried scart.

it cant be an image problem, its audio related , either the cable your using, or connections ( tv or dreambox )

in audio settings, it is for PAL ?
and have you tried unticking WSS on 4.3
                      and AC3 default ?

ive used the video/audio out and still the same diff leads and a diferent TV , to me its pointing more and more towards a faulty mobo's.

right well i think the problem might be a filter of some sort.
i dug out an old 6db attenuator and screwed it to the feed cable and its stopped making the noise.
would this make sense and can someone explain the purpose of attenuator and different sizes in db ?.also , which would be the correct size for a cable box to stop any interference from my bband on a splitter ?.

                            boosters increase signal
                            attenuator reduce signal
                            3db doubles your signal
15db five times so on and so forth
                            so they say anyway
your signal strength has to be within a certain range
                            eg 96 40 0
use boosters to increase a weak signal
and attenuaters to reduce a overly strong signal
