I recently did 2 x 500C for a friend. Loaded the DK image on to them, when it came to scanning channels there was no joy. So I tried using my location in the menu. I live in hudds but it did not work. So tried all the locations and finally worked by using the lancashire area.

It is always best to do a 'bruteforce ' scan if you are not sure about the location, that way it doesn't what matter location you are at it should find channels.
