FTA channels only - help!!!

I am totally new to Dreamboxes and am pretty pleased with what I have done so far:

I have a 500C and have followed the TOTAL SPOONFED NEWBIES GUIDE TO DREAMBOX 500C:

1. Flashed the box with DK 1.1 using Dreamup.
2. FTPed the Keys from Dreambox stuff from Rapidshare using FlashFXP.

I can only get FTA channels. The keylist.txt file was completely empty when I opened it. I guess I have to get some up to date keys and put them into the keylist.txt file?

Where do I get them from and how do I do that?
What is the format of the keys?

I have been reading the threads and have come across autoupdate -what does that mean?
Beyond this I am completely baffled! Really new but exciting territory.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction!

Thanks - I already have them installed I think -in the scce folder. I got this from dreambox stuff on rapidshare. I don't have any keys though.

The 'Getting the best' guide doesn't detail what to do with keys anyway?

You should also have some files to put in the keys folder as well m8

I deleted the ROMS and put the new ROMs in. I went to Sky Sports 1 and Bob as they say is my uncle. How do these ROMS work?

has the key folder in it ftp that to var and the scce folder ,delete whats inside the scce folder then ftp each of the new rom updates to the scce file if this makes sence
reboot the box and start you cam/emu

If you want to know how the roms work look into building an image in the development section under dreambox.

Then go from there.

This fix will roll them.

Enabling the new keys to work.

Very complicated but it does the job.

Dont get me wrong cgscott - I am delighted. Could you explain what 'roll them' means please?

It means when vermin change the keys your set will "roll" as well to sort it
