Hi All

Do the images for the dreambox work with cable boxes as well as satellite boxes. Just wondered if they were both the same of different.

Not at the moment m8, there are separate images for cable and sat

The 'base' images are exactly the same,but a cable modded image wont work on a sat box.The magic files are different for both boxes.

The image is the same for a satellite box and a cable box.

The image contains settings for satellite, cable and terrestrial receivers.

On initial bootup, the image detects which tuner is installed in the receiver and loads the appropriate settings and menus, etc.

Yes, of coarse, the keys and roms are different for each provider on satellite and again for cable so these are usually added by the person after flashing the image.
