Dreambox DM500C Beginner

right - time for my first silly qtn.

how do you goto s*p1 from the Evocamd screen?

Make sure you have set Evocamd 2.12 as default cam.
I am assuming that you put some sort of a bouquets or channel list on dm500. On the off chance you have not loaded the bouquets Press OK on your remote and press downwards so you have list of channels, press RED to selct 'All services' and scroll down till you SKy Sports1. if you have done everuthing as required then the channel will eventually clear.

goes to a screen headed All Services (TV)

Just under that on the left is a red box name all services
next to it is green box - which is blank
next to the green box is a yellow one - providers
and on the far right is blue box labelled 'bouquets

I should add then when i pressed blue for bouquests, it throws up a list of folders. Sport
is the third one down. When this is selected - a yellow bar appears which stated [Go UP]

when you hold down the info button it brings up EMU Manager.

When i pressed the info button from the default screen - it went to EPG search options. Nothing was found.

Basically what you need to do is tune your dm500 to one of the PPV channels and leave it on that channel until you can see a picture. Most people therefore turn to S*y Sports 1

pls walk me through how to navigate to sk*1. All i can see anything to do with sports is a folder and when i select that it goes to a screen what displays a yellow bar with [GO BACK] in the middle of it.

i cannot see any channels listed anywhere. oh and btw - have not created bouquet.

In the DK download section there is section for dreambox listing all the files and boquets for various areas. Download a program called dreamboxedit and one of the services and bouquets that is closest to your area. Use dreamboxedit to load the bouquets to your dm500 and you should now have preconfigured channel list. If you now bring up the channel list and press Blue you will be taken to one of the sections of the channel list i.e SPORT and you just need to see if you can find SP1.

I think what i was missing was the transponder scan. Through system setup I got to the scan page where the bars try to reach 100% and sync checkbox green. I was told to try UKcablennnnn, which didn't work. Then i tried some in the local area and they synced pretty damm quick. After syncing I could see the listings ...

Current status is that I receive the freebie channs but can't get any others. The other strange thing is I can see s*y sp nws, and s*y spt x-tra but can't remember seeing sp1 or 2 for that matter.

Downloading and copying the cables.xml file to your dreambox and then doing a 'bruteforce' scan would have got you all the channels. You need to execute the last RED sticky.

Do you even need the XML file? Just a bruteforce UK scan should do it... then bouquet yourself..

Use the correct codes for your region.

It is not necessary to find local keys the box will automatically update the keys when you execute the last RED sticky and turn to a PPV channel , restart cam and wait till the channel clears.

I did state above that I paid the full wonga. Anyway I'm glad - someone told me that clones can light up. When it comes to life and death - i'm sorry but trying to save 100squidz simply foolish.
