DM500 Is Dreambox Kaputt???

Hi guys. quick question. i have been given a dreambox 500c by my mate to sort out for him. it had been working fine, when he said "all of a sudden it just stopped working". not sure why.

i have used dreamup with serial cable to upload various images, everything works fine that way and dreamup is able to talk to dreambox and vice versa, so everything seems fine there.

but upon switching on for the tv, i get nothing. green light comes on, but box doesn't respond to remote, and nothing comes on screen.


i was thinking this could be something to do with the scart connection (maybe some solder has come away), but i am not sure.

anyone got any ideas or tips to get it working again

Try connecting with composite connection red, white, yellow

this happened to my mates before never got it working can connect and everything but doesnt display anything on the tv and doesnt respond to the remote

Flash first the so called empty image to clear the flash memory and after that the image of your choice.
A newer gemini image would be not so a good idea for a clone box.
