can anyone help - my open media box lost all channels. I FTP'd on the new roms in the usual way, rebooted and did a scan. Its giving me the error "switch unknown error" on screen what ever channel i choose. Does anyone know what the problem is? I've done the FTP thing successfully before a few times - do u reckon they have disconnected the line entirely? Any suggestions much appreciated.

Is this on the cable or the sat half ? Perhaps you flashed a cable one to it when the sat switch is on in which case it has the wrong tuner driver now ? Use dreamup and reflash. -
Thanks Rickets - but I dont think that is the problem - I'm on cable and all my box settings have always been cable. Strange thing is I'm getting literally 1/2 channels one of which is Red Hot Nightly. I wonder if my scanning frequency settings are wrong?Comment

unplug box for 1 min flick switch to sat then back to cable then plug back in if no better do a factory reset then all other stuff hope this helps mate also do you get fta if so you are not disconnectedLast edited by mm009b; 27 July, 2009, 20:23.Comment

Update - i've now got a few more channels after another scan. Its also giving me all the program info for the other channels but giving me nothing on screen - just a black screen for most channels. Any ideas?Comment
