the next version up would be the dm600

you can buy this with a hdd installed or without if you prefere to install your own

which is pretty simply to do it come with instructions how to install

a dm500 image canot be used but there are enough images about for the dm600

which are more or less the same
    dm800-s=1.1 m triax motorised dish=titanium twin lnb

DIGITAL KAOS BEST SITE ON THE NET

please use the thanks button if someone has helped

      DM600 -- ~200GBP without a hard drive
      DM7025+ -- ~400GBP without a hard drive

      These are "official" reseller prices.

DM500C images don't work with DM600, DM7025+ boxes and yes there are images available.

The 600, will allow you to stream to your PC, so you wont need a hard drive to begin with, though for ease of use, I would suggest you get one.
Make sure you get an IDE drive and not a SATA.
