    Not locking on signal

    Hi all.

Got given a dm500c today and decided to have a go at setting it up. Flashed it with the dk image from this site and connected it to the feed (feed is still live). Set it to auto scan transponders and it started scanning but seemed to lock on a freq earlier than what the freq for here is. I am in Belfast so assume it is 755 and 6887. Locks and syncs at 600something and tunes channels in but a lot of them are service not found. BBC and UTV work fine but thats all. Decided to try a manual scan and entered the above net id and symbol but no lock with a snr of 65%. Reflashed with an older pli image and only 2 choices for auto scan was 6900 or 6875 , never heard of the second one. Anyone any ideas what I am doing wrong? Hoping to pick up the free to air channels on this but only gettiung 2 working ones

You seem to have the right frequency and symbol rate mate.

    Belfast (Ireland) NTL 00021 755.000 6.887

The service not found flag on your remote press OK > Red to bring up the all services list > navigate to a channel with an exclamation mark > highlight > press Info > remove 'new found flag' > reboot box.

There are very few channels FTA on cable. You will get BBC 1, 2, UTV, BBC Parliament and BBC Alba (might be one or two more) but thats your lot.

Thanks will give that a try. Just cant work out why when I put those values in to the box it will not lock on them but locks earlier. On the dk image I even had the option to select Belfast in the auto part but no lock?

The image is old mate so possible that the network id has changed?! Have the images got an up to date cables.xml file - might be worth a try.
