Probleme with the remote

does anyone find DM500 remote rather directive (it's a word i borrowed from french wich means u have to point the remote precisely towards the dm500 so that it can work).

yep I know what you mean , you have to point the remote straight at the box for it to work properly if your at an angle to the box it doesn't pick it up and i also find that mine mutes itself while i'm pressing other buttons on the remote....

Hmnnn.... i dont have a prob at all with my remote, it works from anywhere in my room, as long as i point it towards the box.

Sometime the remote or box receiver can get dusty dirty or in my case covered in red wine. Check that the IR receiver window on the box is clean and also the sender on the remote.
