    adding new tuner to dreambox

    So finally going to get a dvb-c tuner to replace my dvb-s2 in my DM800 clone, I assume as long as I flash a cable image I should be fine?

    Also could do with a PM pointing me in the right direction with a couple of things, been on sat for the past few years and am a bit out of touch.

    I'm a techie and been messing with paytv since the VDR days but now I got a family now time for tinkering, so its more how do I get a certain ........ which I know cant be discussed here as my current provider does not have.

      You can use any image you prefer there are no so called Cable only or satellite only images an Image is exactly that an Image or the Receivers operating system what is different is for satellite you have a sat.xml file that holds all the details of Transponder/Channel data and the same for Cable you just insert a cable.xml file to scan for cable Frequency/Channels.

      The last part you are quite correct this cannot be discussed on the open forum someone may be able to guide you through PM

          hi same issue here, i have a cable tuner ready to go can i just install it with existing image then? i have a hdd installed i was wondering if i would have to do it from scratch and have to reinitialise the drive? if anyone can pm me re the magic files that would be great been sat for years cant remember how the cable thing goes anymore. im sure my memory will be sufficiently jogged with a little assistance. any advice appreciated

              after changing cable tuner to my clone dm800 with opanATV image I have scan and found almost more then 500 chanels but FTP chanles picture showing black screen.

              what else I can do?

                  You need cable bouquets to organise them for your area

                      I have added the bouqts and when i press the plugin it saying line 5 permission denied.I have also install lpk file for dvbspoon. My issue is normal free chanels even not showing picture.only black screen.I am almost giving up!!!!!!!!!!
